Bio
Jo Ann Kerby, 79, of Quanah, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, in Quanah. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, in Quanah Memorial Park with the Rev. Monte Lumpkin officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Quanah. She was born June 16, 1935, in Kirkland, a daughter of the late Jake Atkinson and Effie Hardin. She graduated from Kirkland High School, later moving to Quanah. She married Edward (Ed) Kerby in 1975. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Joey Campsey II on July 9, 2014; and a brother, Ronald Atkinson, in 2003. Survivors include a daughter, Regina Shelton of Quanah; a son, Mike Campsey of Vernon; a sister, Debbie Chapman of San Marcos; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
