(KS) Belleville Telescope July 12, 1990 Ella Rose Kasha, daughter of Joseph and Frances Lojka Houdek, was born November 26, 1903, on a farm southwest of Cuba, and died July 5, 1990, at Heartland Care Center in Belleville, at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 9 days. She received her elementary education at Kunkel Rural School near Cuba. She was united in marriage to Aaron Kasha, November 5, 1930, at Belleville and to this union two children were born. She lived her entire life in Republic County and was engaged in farming with her husband until his death in 1963. Since that time she made her home in Belleville. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and was a past member of ZCBJ Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Virginia, two sisters, Mildred and Frances. She is survived by one son, Vernon D; one brother Charles Houdek of Munden; two sisters, Mrs. Emily Plucar of Belleville, Mrs. Lillian Wolfe of Mankato; two grandchildren; one great-grandson. Funeral services were held at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Memorial Chapel of Belleville, conducted by Rev. Tom Ballard. Interment was in Tabor Cemetery.
