Bio

Requiem mass for Mrs. J. J. Blazek, 80, was held at St. John's Catholic Church. She was born in Czechoslovakia. She moved to Gunter, Texas at the age of 12 with her family. She married John Joe Blazek on 26 April 1914 in Pilot Point, Texas. He preceded her in death. The couple moved to Ennis in 1925. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the KJZT Society, and the Altar Society. Survivors include six sons, three daughters, 48 grandchildren, and 49 great-grandchildren.
