Bio

Etta Mae McBride, 88, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2014, Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Holliday officiating. Interment will follow in Forreston Cemetery. V14 Etta Mae was born in Eustace, Texas, to the late Walter and Onie Trammell. She married Cecil McBride on a snowy day, January 29, 1946, in Athens Texas. She retired from the Waxahachie ISD, was a long time resident of Forreston, Texas, and a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil McBride; granddaughter, Holly Ann Davis; grandson, Phillip Schreiber; sisters, Bea Huddleston and Linda Wells; and brother, Winford Trammell. Survivors include her daughters: Carolyn Brignon, of Red Oak, Rita Garza and husband, Leo, of Italy, Janice Schreiber and husband, Will, of Waxahachie, Sharon Cooper and husband, Bobby, of Waxahachie, Debra Childress and husband, Ron, of Waxahachie, and Diana Davis and husband, Tony, of Waxahachie; sons, Floyd McBride and wife, Dot, of Waxahachie, and Bobby McBride and wife, Sherry, of Forreston; 22 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Trammell, of Marque; sisters, Imogene Condor, of Waxahachie, Faye Browning, of Cedar Hill, Mary Choate, of Austin, and Melba O'Daniel, of Waxahachie; brothers-in-law, HL Huddleston, of Waxahachie, and Gene McBride and wife, Frances, of Temple; and several nieces and nephews.
