Willis Pea was born to William and Sophia Ann Wade Pea, in Moultrie co., IL. When very young the family moved to Grundy co., Mo. They moved to Putnam co. MO. He was 17 when the family left Putnam co and moved to Bates co., MO. In 1874 his father died and the family left for Coffey co, Ks.
