Kansas City Star, The (MO) - Tuesday, October 26, 2010 Deceased Name: ERNEST D. O'DELL, JR. Ernest D. O'Dell, Jr., age 51, of Yorkville, IL, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on June 5, 1959, in San Diego, CA, the son of Ernest D. and Neva J. (Stillwagon) O'Dell, Sr. Ernie spent many years in the printing industry as a pressman and strived to be best in his field. He was employed as a Supervisor/Foreman at Dixon Direct in Dixon, IL. Ernie's passion was golfing and he enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was a people person that never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Ernie is survived by his wife, Lexa O'Dell, of Yorkville, IL; his daughter, Alicia O'Dell Wadley and husband Brian, of Phoenix, AZ; his mother, Neva Godard and husband Robert; his sisters, Trina Welch and husband Robert, of Spring Hill, KS; and Kelly O'Dell Moore, of Paola, KS; his step-brothers, Joseph Godard and wife Lisa, of Eureka Springs, AR, and Jeffrey Godard and wife Dawn, of Pleasanton, KS; and step-sister, Patricia Miller, of Mission, KS; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest D. O'Dell, Sr. Services will be held in Pleasanton, KS, at Coffel Schneider Funeral Home. Visitation from 12-1 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010, with services from 1-2 p.m. Family and friends gathering to follow at Pleasanton Community Center.
