Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska Donald Vogeler, North Loup Resident, 77 Donald Dale Vogeler, 77, of North Loup died Aug. 21, 1999 at the Valley County Hospital in Ord. Funeral services were held at the North Loup United Methodist Church on Aug. 24, at 2 pm with the Rev. Melanie Adams officiating. Burial was at Mt. Hope Cemetery at Scotia. Mr. Vogeler was born Aug. 7, 1922 to William W. and Beulah (Romans) Vogeler at Valley County, NE. He grew up in North Loup and received his education at Ord, graduating from Ord High School in 1940. On June 1, 1943 he married Gertrude 'Pat' Patrick at Ord. The couple lived and farmed three miles west of North Loup for the last 55 years. He was a member of the North Loup United Methodist Church, Ord Elks Lodge #2371 and North Loup Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude 'Pat' of North Loup; two sons, William F. Vogeler of North Loup and Craig Vogeler of Murphy, CA; four daughters, Linda (Mrs. Richard) Penas of Columbus, Vicky (Mrs. Mike) Johnson of Lawrenceburg, KY, Colene (Mrs. Merlyn) Williams of Burwell and Carol (Mrs. Tom) Holt of North Loup; 19 grandchildren; numerous foster grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
