Bio

Stanislaus Francis "Stanley Frank" Houdek was born on 15 May 1915, to Frank and Katherine (Budik) Houdek, in Henryville Township, Renville County, Minnesota. He attended rural school near Olivia and Olivia High School. Stanley Frank married Irene Mary Goblish on 05 January 1937, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bechyn, Minnesota. They lived and farmed in Henryville Township until 1971 and retired from farming in 1974. Stanley and Irene had ten children, three sons, Edward, Henry, and Donald; and, seven daughters, Martha (Schafer), Margaret (Meuhlberg), Marie (Revier), Rita (Healy), Diane (Haney), Dorothy (Elfering), and Rosemary (Woelfel). Stanley Frank Houdek died, at the age of 79, on Thursday, 16 June 1994, at the Renville County Hospital in Olivia, Renville County, Minnesota. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, 20 June 1994, in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia. Burial followed in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Olivia, Renville County, Minnesota.
