Bio
Charles F. Huggler, age 78, of Osceola passed away January 24, 2014 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 28 at the First United Methodist Church in Osceola with Pastor Mike Flury officiating. Interment will be in Osceola Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg has been entrusted with arrangements. Charles was born May 14, 1935 to Fred and Althea (Zang) Huggler in Osceola, Nebraska. He attended country schools northeast of Osceola and graduated from Osceola High School in 1954. On August 12, 1953 he was united in marriage to Martha Ann Gulbrandson at the Methodist parsonage in Stromsburg. They resided in Osceola before moving to York, where he worked at Ward King hauling propane and Champion Home Builders. In November of 1966 the family moved to Benedict where they resided until March 1997. They then moved to Osceola where he resided until his passing. Charles worked for the Nebraska Department of Roads in York County until he retired in 1996. He attended the First United Methodist church in Osceola. He enjoyed radio controlled boats, fixing mowers, playing pool, shuffleboard, cards, delivering Meals on Wheels and coffee group at Denny's house. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Robin.
