Floyd Lee "Flash" Hoagland, age 62, and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014, at Kingwood Medical Center. He was born November 13, 1951, in Cleveland, Texas, to parents, John Therman and Lettie Vandver Hoagland who preceded him in death along with sisters, Joyce and Judy Hoagland, and brother, Roy Hoagland. Survivors include his sisters, Lois Hopkins, Wanda Carpenter and Nina Yeager; brothers, Emory Charles "Chuck" Hoagland, John Hoagland, Ray Hoagland, Donald Hoagland and Steve Hoagland; numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished relatives and faithful friends. A native of Cleveland, he attended Tarkington Prairie schools. He had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, and collecting coins and old bottles. He was very active with his many nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends. He is dearly loved and will always be missed. A memorial service for Mr. Hoagland will be held at a later date.
