Gary Lowell Perkins Gary Perkins faced a courageous battle against prostate cancer, an engagement that ended his life Dec 1, 2001. He was born July 28, 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT to Jeanette and Lowell Perkins. Whether you met him as a bold classmate at Murray High School, a vanguard electrician in the I.B.E.W. Local 354, or a proud relative at a family gathering, you found the integrity of an honest, independent man of his word with a razor-sharp mind and a spirit to improve the human condition. He had a gift to debate and the presence to will a cat out of its nine lives. Although the days of making new memories with Gary are gone, the memories imprinted will be remembered by many and forgotten by few. He was married to Pat and is survived by his sons, Rick and Sean; parents, Jeanette and Lowell; brothers, Doug and Jeff; sisters, Janice and Leslie. The family would like to thank the LDS Hospital and Harmony Hospice for their care and support. Graveside services will be held Tues. Dec 4, 2001 1 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S, Sandy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may also be made to the Kidney-Liver-Pancreas Transplant Office, LDS Hospital, 324 10th Ave, Suite #124, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. Funeral directors, Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary. Published 2 December 2001 in The Salt Lake Tribune (UT)
