------------------------- QUANAH — Gene R. Crabtree, 84, of Quanah died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Joseph Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Quanah Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home of Quanah. Mr. Crabtree was born May 30, 1930, in Tennessee Valley to John and Lorene Childers Crabtree. He married Coweta Lynch in Goodlett. Survivors include two daughters, Tina Edwards of Quanah and Janett Dunn of Gonzales, La.; two brothers, Johnny Crabtree of Lubbock and Larry Crabtree of Childress; two sisters, Nina Brown and June Head, both of Childress; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
