Ruby MEAD Hardacre Carter Shelton is the daughter of Donald "Robert" Mead and Etta May FLOYD Mead. Ruby MEAD Hardacre Carter Shelton born March 31, 1909, Fredonia, Wilson County, Kansas; died December 26, 1991, Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. • Married Walter Barr Hardacre on February 21, 1925, Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. • Married _____ Carter on _____ __, 19__ , _____, _____ County, _____. • Married Dalphie Tollison "D.T." "Dick" Shelton on October 14, 1937, Grandfield, Tillman, Oklahoma. Shelton, 82, Ada are 2 p.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church, the Rev. Roger McMahan officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. Mrs. Shelton died December 26, 1991, at a local hospital, she was born March 31, 1909, at Fredonia, Kansas to Robert and Etta May Floyd Mead. She came to Ada in 1965 from Lawton. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and worked as a homemaker. On October 14, 1937, she and D.T. "Dick" Shelton were married at Granfield. He preceded her in death at Ada on November 26,1986. Survivors include one son, Richard "Dick" Shelton, Ada; one daughter, Linda Dickson, Ada; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bearers are Ezra Poe, Calvin Laxton, Hershell Trimble, Floyd Jarrett, Dewayne Lemmings and Cliff Boomhower.
