Duncan Banner, Sun., Apr. 11, 1993 Longtime resident FAIN COCKRELL, 69, Rt. 3, Duncan, died Friday, April 9, 1993, in a Stephens County hospital. Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Florez officiating. Burial will be in New Velma Cemetery. Mr. Cockrell was born July 2, 1923, in Milo. He was a retired oilfield worker and a member of the Baptist faith. He married Doris Allred on Dec. 8, 1944, in Duncan. She died Oct. 16, 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Williams of Duncan and Sue Jarvis of Devol; a brother, J.B. Cockrell of Comanche; and four grandchildren, Wade Williams, Jackie Williams, Hoyt Ferguson and Deela Smith. Bearers will be Bill Cooksey, Jack Ketchum, David Ketchum, Kenny Haws, Glenn Scott and Bruce Lynn.
