From the Houston Chronicle , Wednesday, September 19, 2012: Richard (Dick) Kremer Schanz, age 79, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Dick was born June 30, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, and lived in Katy, Texas. Survivors include Sons Carl, Mike & wife Kathleen, Daughters Cathey & husband Dan, Debbie & husband Buddy, Grandchildren Jason & wife Samantha, Blake, Adam & wife Katie, Jillian, Liza, Toni, Tori & husband Jacob, and Teri, Sister Sue & husband Greg and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his loving wife Anna, Parents John and Molly, Brothers Tom and Harry. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church, 3311 N. Fry Rd. Katy, TX. 77449. Viewing at 9:00 am, Mass at 11:00 am, Reception at 12:00 pm and Interment at 3:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Charity of your choice in honor of Richard K. Schanz.
