Bio

Clemmie was the tenth of eleven children born to George W. Edmonds and Susannah Gibbs (1849-1902, burial unknown). She married (1) Worley Hunt on Nov. 15, 1907 in Bradley, Tennessee, and (2) William Murphy Atkins on May 16, 1916 in Loudon, Tennessee. She died at Erlanger Hospital; funeral arrangements were handled by the National Funeral Home. Survived by two sons, Colbert Atkins and Avery M. Hunt, Rossville; one daughter, Mildred Smalling, Athens, Tenn.; one brother, George Edmonds, Ringgold, Ga.; one sister, Flora Bookout, Cedartown, Ga. Obituary published Oct. 9, 1948 in The Chattanooga Daily Times .
