Daughter of George Washington Edmonds and Susannah Gibbs of Blount County, Tenn. Wife of James Henry Bookout; they were married on Aug. 25, 1901, in McMinn County, Tenn. ... Obituary Chattanooga Times 27 May 1958 BOOKOUT, MRS. FLORA BELL EDMONDS, 79, of 1033 John Ross Rd., died in a local hospital late Monday afternoon following an extended illness. She was a native of Blount County, Tenn., but had resided here for some 37 years. The family resided in the East Lake section for many years. Mrs. Bookout was a member of the Bellview Baptist Church in Cedartown, Ga., where she resided for a number of years. She was the widow of the late James Henry Bookout, who died Sept. 13, 1955. Survivors are five sons, John, Frank, Lester, Paul, all of Chattanooga and Tom Bookout, Cedartown, Ga; two daughters, Mrs. N. F. Dorsey, Ringgold, Ga., and Mrs. Carrie Station, Atlanta, Ga.; also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. ....
