Bio
Mary Frances Eder, 85, of Needville, Texas, went to be with our Lord on January 3, 2014, after a brief illness. Mary was born May 23, 1928 in Frydek, Texas. Mary met her life partner, Marion F. Eder, whom she married January 1st, 1950. Mary farmed alongside her husband for 12 years. Later, she went into retail food business, where she did everything and anything necessary and including management. She and Marion lived in Damon, Texas for many years. She attended Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and was very active in her church. After retirement she and her husband moved to Needville, Texas where she spent her time reading, gardening and trying new dessert recipes. She attended St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Needville. Mary is survived by her children, Linda Kaluza and husband Gary of Fairchilds, Texas, Susan Sanchez and husband Carmelo of Richmond, Larry Eder and wife Elizabeth of Industry, Texas, brother Albert J. Sodolak and wife Doris of Frydek, Texas; grandchildren, Laurie Kucera and husband Wes, David Kaluza and wife Aliisha, Bridget Wray and husband Patrick, Paul Kettler and wife Abby, Jeremy Eder and wife Jenny, Sarah Paraders and husband Charlie, Caitlin Cabral and husband Kris, Zachary Eder, Merle Hayes and girlfriend Jackie Scheidner, and Paula Tyldesley; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Lidger Eder of Wallis, Texas; sister-in-law Lilly Eder of Sealy, Texas; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Marion F. Eder; her parents Charles S. and Julia Sodolak; sister Lillie Manna and brothers Ludwig J. Sodolak, Sr. and Charlie Sodolak. Visitation, Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a service at 6:30pm at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, Texas. Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 a funeral mass at 1:00pm from Guardian Angel Church with interment at Guardian Angel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a favorite charity.
