Bio

Alta Ruth Lucus, a secretary-bookkeeper for Jowell Corp., died Sunday at a Fort Worth hospital. She was 54. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home in Cleburne. Burial will be in Keene Cemetery in Keene. Mrs. Lucus was born in Maypearl and had lived in Fort Worth for seven years. Survivors: Husband, Dennis R. Lucus Sr. of Fort Worth; two sons, Dennis Lucus Jr. of Fort Worth and Mark Lucus of Angleton, Brazoria County; two daughters, Delayne Lucus of Tacoma, Wash., and Paula Lucus of Mansfield; mother, Hazel Cox of Justin; six brothers, Harley Stanley of Conroe, Kenneth Stanley, Curtis Stanley, George Stanley and Gary Stanley, all of Denton, and Daniel Stanley of Grapevine; four sisters, Rozelle McCoy of Alma, Ark., Laverne Stallings of Yellville, Ark., Nelda Blanchard of De Ridder, La., and Carol Coker of Palestine; and two grandchildren.
