"Funeral services for Joe T. Surovik, Sr., 86, grandfather of John Surovik of Bartlett, were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ocker Brethren Church, the Rev. Albert Michalik and the Rev. John Baletka officiating. Burial was in the Ocker Church Cemetery. Mr. Surovik died Tuesday in the Will O' Bell Nursing Home. He was born in Caldwell and lived in the Barclay area most of his adult life. He moved to the Bartlett area after his retirement. His wife died in 1972. Survivors include a son, Joe T. Surovik Jr., of Holland; four brothers, Henry, Will, Lou and Charles; four sisters, Mrs. Vlasta Baletka, Mrs. Alfred Gerngross, Mrs. Theresa Aigner and Miss Alice Surovik; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
