Bio

Anton "Tony" Nevrkla, died at 7:24 AM Wednesday [May 2, 1990] in Lafayette Home Hospital. He had been hospitalized since Friday and in failing health since November 1989. Born Sept. 4, 1898, near Ord, NE, he had lived in Lafayette since 1935. Mr. Nevrkla retired from Hahn Produce Co. in 1988 on his 90th birthday. He was a former member of Eagles Aerie 323, Logansport. He was married to Marie Frances Pesha on Aug. 29, 1920, at Ord, NE, and she survives. Also surviving is one son, Eugene L. Nevrkla of West Lafayette; and two grandchildren, David E. Nevrkla of West Lafayette and Tressa M. (Mrs. Jim) Wolf of Noblesville; and two great-granddaughters.
