OBITUARY- AUSTIN -- The funeral for Lowell D. Parmenter will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Austin, with the Rev. Mark Nordell officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery in Rose Creek. Mr. Parmenter, 70, of Route 2, Austin, a longtime area farmer, died Wednesday (April 26, 1995) in the emergency room of Austin Medical Center. Born Oct. 22, 1924, in Austin, he graduated from Austin High School in 1942, and lived and farmed south of Austin all his life. On Aug. 23, 1947, he married Gladys Moucha in Albert Lea. Mr. Parmenter was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nancy (Mrs. David) Ludwig of Austin; a son, Gary of Austin; and two grandchildren. A sister, two brothers and a granddaughter preceded him in death. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin and an hour before the service at the church.
