Sallye Cheryl Stewart (May 5, 1959 - January 4, 2016) Sallye Cheryl Stewart 56, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at her residence in Buffalo Gap. A memorial service will be held 12:30 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Blackwell First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff White and Rev. Bobby Rodger officiating arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. Sallye was born May 5, 1959 in Sterling City, TX. She had attended the Texas School of Cosmetology where she graduated a Hair Stylist. After graduating Sallye was asked to stay at the school and become a Instructor. Sallye decided after some time instructing that she wanted to open her own Hair Salon which led to her owning and operating Heavenly Hair. Sallye is survived by her daughter Shayla Diers and husband Richard of Belton, TX; grandson Richie Diers of Belton, TX; son Thomas Stewart of Stephenville, TX; mother Shirley Passmore of Blackwell, TX; mother in law Gloria Mauldin of Temple, TX; brother Randy Mitchel of Blackwell, TX; sisters Yvonne Davis of Blackwell, TX, Amy Davis of Blackwell, TX, Kathy Stewart of Temple, TX. She was preceded in death by her father Travis Loy Mitchel and husband Rodney Stewart. “Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I'll miss you until we meet again”. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Kindred at Home and IntegraCare Hospice 1665 Antilley Rd. Suite 100 Abilene, TX 79606.
