Fremont Tribune (NE) - Tuesday, October 22, 2002 The funeral for Adolph A. Bartek, 82, of Valparaiso (Touhy) will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy. He died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, in Saunders County Care Center in Wahoo. He was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Weston to parents Jarold J. and Hedvicka F. (Coufal) Bartek. He attended District 98 school in rural Saunders County. He married Helen Benes March 30, 1948, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Agnew. They lived in Weston, and he was an active farmer until retiring in 2000. In May 2002, he moved to the Saunders County Care Center. Bartek was a member of the St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy. Survivors include: his wife, Helen; seven sons, Bernard (and wife, Margaret) Bartek of Yutan, Duane (and wife, Nancy) Bartek of Daykin, Michael A. (and wife, Lori) Bartek of Lincoln, Stephen (and wife, Janet) Bartek of Valparaiso, Paul (and wife, Adele) Bartek of Lincoln, Patrick (and wife, Loraine) Bartek of Weston and Gerard (and wife, Nancy) Bartek of Olathe, Kan.; a brother, Joseph S. Bartek of Weston, two sisters, Cecilia "CeCe" (Mrs. Carl) Jelinek of Wahoo and Marcella Bartek of Weston; a sister-in-law, Adaline Bartek of Wahoo; 25 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a great-grandson, two brothers, two sisters and two brothers-in-law. The Revs. Rand Langhorst, John Cooper and Charles Townsend will officiate Wednesday's service. Visitation is from 1-4 p.m. tonight at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at the church, and an additional visitation will take place one hour before the service begins at the church. Burial is in St. Vitus Cemetery in Touhy.
