Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home Albert C. Kieffer (February 15, 1931 - December 18, 2013) Albert C. Kieffer, 82 years of age, of Concordia, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia. He was born on February 15, 1931 in Clyde to Charles and Sophia M. (Matthias) Kieffer. Albert married Darlyne Cook on June 16, 1953. He served his country for several years in the Army National Guard. Over the years, he was employed as a tire repairman at BF Goodrich, Montgomery Ward, CO-OP/Farmway, and retired from Christensen Oil in 2003. Albert was a very active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He enjoyed working around the house, telling jokes, and especially spending time with family. Albert is survived by his wife, Darlyne; three sons, Gary (Tammy) Kieffer of Baldwin City, Dennis (Stephanie) Kieffer of McPherson, Jason (Missy Kleplinger) Kieffer of Wichita; two daughters, Marcia (John) Holesovsky, Mary (David) Short, both of Wichita; three grandchildren, Caitlin (Stanley) Gorges, Colton Short, Alexis Kieffer; one great grandchild, Harlan Gorges; two brothers, Herbert Kieffer of Denver, Colorado, Walfred Kieffer of Wichita; one sister, Rose Mary Madden of Kemp, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lawrence, Edward; five sisters, Margaret, Cecelia, Martina, Marcella, Philomena; and one grandson, Shiloh Pickel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 23, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia with Rev. Brian Lager officiating. Interment will be in the St. Concordia Cemetery in Concordia. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM with a vigil service at 6 PM Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in care of the funeral home. Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia is in charge of arrangements.
