From his obituary, which ran in the January 10, 2013 issue of the "Anchorage Daily News": Henry Lee "Hank" Taylor, 78, died December 18, 2007 at Providence Alaska Medical Center. No memorial service is planned. He was born September 11, 1929 in Greenville, S.C. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Drill Instructor at Paris Island. He obtained bachelor's degrees in psychology and economics from Furman University. He came to Alaska during its territorial days. He started as an insurance claims adjuster, became a private investigator, later obtained his law degree from Florida State University, and became a prominent Alaska attorney. He was a pioneer in remote Alaska sports hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as an avid and well-known outdoorsman, featured in Alaska Magazines and books "More Alaska Bear Tales" and "Some Bears Kill". He is survived by his children, Cynthia, Diana, Trey, Jennifer and George; sister, Marsh; and brother Jack.".
