Bio

Lubin Ardoin, 87, a resident of 2303 Madeline Street, died at an Alexandria nursing home at 12:05 p.m. Sunday. He was a retired farmer and a native of Avoyelles parish. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edvise Ardoin; two sons, David Ardoin, Cottonport and Edley Ardoin, Plaucheville; two daughters, Mrs. Jim Johnson, Alexandria and Mrs. Valley Bowman, Arabia; two brothers, F.A. Ardoin, Alexandria and Adoil Ardoin, Port Arthur, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Horace Landreneau, Mamou and Mrs. Oliver Kimbell, Plaucheville; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Ardoin's body will lie in state at the Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport. Funeral services will be held from the Plaucheville Catholic church at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
