Obituary by Wing Mortuary, Lehi, Utah. Ralph Abraham Trane (June 17, 1919 - December 6, 2013) Our beloved dad, grandpa, and great grandpa passed away peacefully on December 6, 2013. He was born June 17, 1919 to Andrew and Gladys Southwick Trane in Lehi, Utah. He graduated from Lehi High School and LDS Business College with a degree in accounting. He served in the Army Air Corp and while stationed in Spokane, Washington he met the love of his life, Elda. He served as Master Sergeant in England during WWII. Upon his return he married Elda on October 27, 1944, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They spent 68 wonderful years together and they raised 6 awesome children David, Becky, Rachel, Tom, Susan and Jon. With love they taught them the value of hard work and service to others. Ralph worked as an accountant at Daynes Music and Linford Bros. Glass Company. He served as the President of the Salt Lake Credit Bureau for several years. He was a faithful member of the LDS church, serving in many callings, including Bishop, High Councilor, Ward and Stake Clerk, and Home Teacher. He and Elda loved serving as temple workers in the Salt Lake Temple for 9 years. He loved gardening, fishing, woodworking and supporting his children and grandchildren in all of their activities. He is survived by his children; David (Sue), Becky, Rachel (Earl), Susan (Mitch), Jon (Cathy), 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, sister Delores (Arden) and daughter-in-law Shauna. Preceded in death by his eternal companion Elda, son Tom, son-in-law Duncan and great-grandson Jaycob.
