Bio
Retired farmer, Emery Lipp, 78, passed away Jan 19 in the Bowdle Hospital. Following hospitalization about a month ago, Mr. Lipp was convalescing in the Bowdle Nursing Home. He became seriously ill last week. Requiem mass was recited in Holy Cross of TL Jan 23 with Fr Joseph Murrin as celebrant. Interment was in Holy Cross cemetery. Casketbearers: John F Schweitzer, John S Schweitzer, Clarence Lippert, Anton Hulm, Andy Aberle, Adam Hulm. Kesling FH in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lipp was born June 28, 1895, in Russia and came to the US with his parents in 1902. They settled in Strasburg, ND. He was married to Eva Selzler at Strasburg in 1918. They moved to a farm SE of TL in 1929. Mrs. Lipp passed away in 1938. In October, 1941, he married Mary Fischer at TL. They lived on the farm until 1958 when they moved into TL. He is survived by his widow; three sons: John of Rapid City; Eugene of Flint, MI; Andrew of Tacoma, WA; eight daughters: Elizabeth (Henry) Hullender of Fresno, CA; Agnes (Arbie) Springer of TL; Mary (Harold) Ellison of Spokane, WA; Angeline (Larry) Barns of Linton, ND; Margaret (Bob) Heck of Cas
