Bio
She was born about 6 weeks after the Battle of Gettysburg. She was survived by 5 step-children. Max Wilde of Spokane, Washington, and niece Mrs. Floyd Keeling. -------- Mrs. Caroline Wilde died 6:15 p.m. Thursday in Norfolk in a hospital she had been a resident in since Oct. 24, 1954. "She was bedfast most of that time." She would have been 100 on August 18. The funeral will be held Saturday with burial in New Lutheran cemetery. She was born Aug. 18, 1863 at Chicago about six weeks afther the Battle of Gettysburg of the Civil War. She was the widow of Carl Wilde. She was survived by 5 step children including Max at Spokane, Washington. Also a niece Mrs. Floyd Keeling at Des Moines, Iowa.
