~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EILERT RAND, 95 Services for Eilert (Ike) Rand, 95, of Missouri Valley, who died September 3, 1993, at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley were Tuesday, September 7. Interment was in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Missouri Valley. Eilert Rand was born June 2, 1898 to John and Stennetta Spier Rand in Lake View, Iowa. He married Hattie Plummer May 4, 1941, in Missouri Valley, Iowa and they resided on a farm in Harrison County all of their lives. He served as an elder, trustee, and was treasurer for 52 ½ years for the California Presbyterian Church. He also sang in the church choir. He was a member of Farm Bureau, Farmers Union and Farm Movement. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stennetta; a brother, John T. Rand and sisters Shamka Rand, Katie Rand, and Jennie Rand. He is survived by his wife, Hattie of Missouri Valley; one son, grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, sister, Wubbena Rand of Missouri Valley; one brother, Jacob Rand of Blair; and many friends.
