Bio
Betty Joyce Cooper Durham, of Granbury, passed away Nov. 12, 2013. She was born Dec. 17,1934 in Alice to Benjamin Oscar Cooper and Artie Evaline Roe Cooper. Joyce graduated from Granbury High school 1952 and attended Weatherford College. Joyce established Weatherford's first health club, "Durham's Health Studio." Later, she moved to Mineral Wells and ran a division of "Circular Connectors," an electronic component company. She was a devout Christian and child advocate, volunteering for CASA. Joyce blessed many people throughout her life by her generosity, faith and kindness to others in need. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and brothers W.O. (Dub) Cooper, Weldon Cooper, Wayne Cooper and sister Bobbie Ruth Vining. She is survived by daughter Janet Miller and husband Terry, daughter Julia Stanley and husband Chris, son Mark Durham and wife Charlotte and sister Jimmie Jean Armstrong and husband Harold. Joyce also has five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Joyce requested a private service for her family to be held at the Fall Creek Cemetery in Acton.
