LUBBOCK-Glenn Eugene Allen, 80, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013. Funeral services for Glenn will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Bethany Baptist Church with Aaron Denson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Glenn was born to John and Sadie Allen on July 6, 1933. He attended Frenship schools. He married Dean Lawson on Oct. 18, 1961. Glenn was retired from the City of Lubbock Building Inspections Department. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Angela Dawn; three sisters: Clete, Chris, and Ruth; and two brothers, Leon and Howard. Survivors include his wife, Dean; five children, Karolyn Webb (Ralph) of Lubbock, Texas, Barbara Maddox (Tony) of Denison, Texas, Judy Greer (Ronnie) of Wolfforth, Texas, Beverly Geron (Larry) of Sweetwater, Texas, Gary Allen (Ellen) of Keller, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Edgar (Bud) Allen (Gerri) of Grand Prairie, Texas. Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund or the Joe Arrington Cancer Center.
