James Rex Rollstin (January 21, 1944 - November 11, 2013) James Rex Rollstin U.S. Veteran James Rex Rollstin passed away Monday November 11, 2013 at Golden Living Center Park Place Nursing Home in Grand Island, Nebraska. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Apfel Funeral Home, Grand Island with the Rev. Bob Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Grand Island Cemetery. Visitation hours will be one hour prior to service time on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family. Jim was born in Inglewood, CA to Warren (Rex) and Nelda Rollstin on January 21, 1944. He lived in Grand Island for most of his life, graduating from Grand Island Senior High School with the class of 1962. He was employed by Nash Finch Company for many years and later the Grand Island Public School system as a custodian. Jim enjoyed bowling, playing pool, cards, and going to the horse races. His Parkinson's slowed him down considerably and eventually he was forced to move to the nursing home. He is survived by his sister & brother in law, Barb & Mike Galles of Pocatello, Idaho, brother-in-law, Roy Tiff Sr. of Ravenna, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Vee Tiff, and a nephew, Roy Lee Tiff Jr. Published on Grand Island Independent Web page on November 12, 2013
