Mrs. W.C. (Lou E.) Allen, 87, died March 3, 1963 in Waco. Services at Wilkirson Hatch chapel, burial in Rosemound Cemetery. Mrs. Allen was born in Robertson County TX, and had lived in Lorena for 40 years. She was a member of a Baptist church. Survivors include: son, Rotan Allen of Lorena; four daughters, Mrs. Doris Hobbs of Lorena, Mrs. J.B. Thedford of Waco, Mrs. Helen Seawright of Waco and Mrs. J.M. Kirklin of Houston; four brothers, C.P. Haygood of Dallas LA, Claude Haygood of Dixie LA, Carter Haygood of Rosenburg TX, and Joe Haygood of Temple TX; six sisters, Mrs. A.G. Scott of Franklin TX, Mrs. Bert Henderson of Rosenburg TX, Mrs. Max Drury of Calvert TX, Mrs. Mattie Tines of Houston, Mrs. Faye Tyson of Corsicana TX, and Mrs. Mary McFerrin of Rosenburg TX; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
