Bio
Mrs. Hruska died Dec. 22, 1999. She was born on Aug. 17, 1921 in Airville to Frank and Adolphina Bravenec Mikeska. She met John Joe Hruska in 1940 and they married on Jan. 8, 1944 in Temple. During John's WWII military service, they lived in Arkansas and Florida. Following the war, they returned to east Bell County where she and her husband farmed and grew vegetables for the remainder of their lives. She was also a housekeeper for several families in Temple. Vlasta was an active member of Seaton Lodge 47 and Seaton Brethren Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Joe Hruska. Survivors are her daughter, Janette Couch of Boerne; two stepsisters, Jane Ellisor of Houston and Margaret Petrek of Temple; and one grandson, John Jacob Couch.
