Roberta Reznicek, 77, of Clarkson, Nebraska died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 9, 10:30 A.M. at Ss Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with Father Rod Kneifl celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in the Clarkson Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the church with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The daughter of Robert and Emilie Novotny, Roberta was born October 26, 1936 at her parent's home in Clarkson, Nebraska. She attended Clarkson Public School and graduated in 1954. Following her graduation from high school, Roberta attended Wayne State Teachers College in Wayne, Nebraska graduating with her teacher's license in 1956. Roberta taught briefly at a rural school in the Clarkson area prior to marrying Norbert Reznicek on May 9, 1955, at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Clarkson, Nebraska. The couple settled in Fremont, Nebraska raising their six children. She was a homemaker who took pride in keeping a spotless house, and later worked with her husband after he retired from Hormel Foods managing a large apartment complex for 12 years. Norbert and Roberta finally retired to a small farm in Clarkson, Nebraska in 1995. Roberta is survived by: Husband: Norbert Reznicek of Clarkson, NE Daughter: Patricia "Patti" Beaudoin of Grand Junction, CO Son: Robert Reznicek of Atlanta, GA Son: Michael Reznicek of Berwick, ME Son: Larry Reznicek of Gillette, WY Son: Jon Reznicek of Fredericksburg, VA Daughter: Becky Knoell of Kenosha, WI 9 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memorial be made to the Clarkson Public Library.
