------------------------- THE LAMPASAS DISPATCH RECORD Thursday, August 24, 1989 Mr. Gilchrest Funeral services for Timothy Glenn Gilchrest, 21, of Abilene were conducted Monday afternoon at the Southern Hills Church of Christ with Hubert Connally officiating, assisted by Mel Holt. Interment followed in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene. Mr. Gilchrest died Saturday. Born in Abilene, he was the son of former Lampasas resident Valeta Gay McNiel Gilchrest. He was a graduate of Cooper High School in Abilene, attended Southwest Texas state University and was a student at Abilene Christian University at the time of his death. Mr. Gilchrest was a member of the "Continental Singers" and a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ. Survivors include his parents, Kenneth D. and Valeta Gay McNiel Gilchrest of Abilene; two brothers, Mark Alan Gilchrest of buda and Tony Gilchrest of Coldspring; two sisters, Vikki Gregory of Abilene and Marisa Pylate of Coldspring; his grandparents, Coleman M.
