Anna Jaska Jurcik, 90, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013, in Ennis, Texas. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. until service time, Monday, November 4, 2013. A Celebration of her life will take place at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Father Fred Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Anna was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Joseph and Annie (Palka) Jaska. She grew up in the Ennis area and attended both St. John Catholic Schools and Central High School. On October 21, 1941, Anna married Julius Jurcik and they made their home in Wilmer, Texas. After the death of her husband, she moved to Ennis. Anna worked for Hesser Envelope and for Hollywood Vasert. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, SPJST #135 and the WFLA. Anna enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband, Julius Jurcik; brothers, Jody Jaska and Wesley Jaska; and sister Julia Lanning. Survivors include sisters, Bessie Hetmer Johnson, Mary Jakubik, Rosalie Chapman, and Margie Macalik; God children, Larry Jakubik and Kathy Jakubik Valek; along with many nieces and nephews.
