Bio

Orenia Ann Smith passed from this life on October 28, 2013 in Antlers at the age of 78. Orenia was born September 8, 1935 in Horseshoe Bend, Texas to William and Camilla (Adams) Jones. She married Billy Smith on August 15, 1956 in Gainesville, Texas. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Baptist Church in Antlers. She began her career of 39 years as an elementary math teacher in Las Cruces, New Mexico and then taught in Olney, Texas. She also taught for 26 years in Henrietta, Texas. Orenia retired from Antlers Public Schools after 10 years. Orenia was preceded in death by her husband Billy G. Smith; parents William and Camilla Jones; brother Willie W. Jones; sister Desey Bloomer; nephew Danny Bloomer and brother in law Granville Farr.
