MARY LEA STANDLEA, "Aunt Monkey" died October 26, 2013 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 85. She was born on December 31, 1927 in Thomas County, NE the daughter of Cornelius and Mary Elizabeth (Wyatt) Boren. Mary was raised in Nebraska and graduated from Halsey High School in 1945. She married Alvin Standlea on January 4, 1946 in Broken Bow, NE. They made their home in Nebraska and Washington. Mary Quilting, cooking, canning and spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, 1 daughter, Vicky Standlea, 4 sons, Theodore, Robert, William and Timothy, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include: Son: Britton and wife Eva Standlea, Clay Center, KS Son: Kelly and wife Sheila Standlea, Grand Island, NE Sister: Virginia Sullivan, Mullen, NE Brother: Theodore Jess Boren, AZ 18 Grandchildren, many Great-Grandchildren and many Great-Great Grandchildren Memorial Services will be announced later. Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM Friday, November 1 at the funeral home Inurnment will be at the Mountain View Cemetery, Connell, Washington.
