Bio

Henry was born in Frankfurt, Hessen, Germany. He immigrated to the U.S. around 1912. He served in the Nebr. Co. F, 4th Infantry. Henry worked for Bell Telephone Company in Norfolk, NE in 1917. He married Hester Clark and they moved to Dixon co, NE where he managed the Bell Telephone Office. In the 1920's they moved to Spencer, NE where he continued to manage the Bell Telephone Co. office there. In the late 1930's, Henry and Hester separated. She and some of the children moved to Oakland, CA for a few years before moving back to Nebraska and taking residence in Lincoln. Henry remained in Spencer with the other children. They did not divorce. Henry and Hester had children: Mary Kerbel, Robert, Hazel, Joseph and Irene Peniska.
