Bio

Only child of Peter and Sina(Ward)Ecord, was born in Appoquinimink Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware. His mother died when he was a baby. His father then married Elizabeth Campbell, in 1814, and the family continued to live in the above location until about 1828. This indicates a continuous residence of the Ecord family in this area for at least forty-five years. When Isaac was about sixteen years old, Peter and Elizabeth and the four boys moved to Perry Township, Pickaway Co., Ohio. The family lived on farms near New Holland, Ohio for over forty years. He married ELIZABETH HEARNE PARKER and had 11 children including PETER JACKSON ECORD .
