Wife of Wilford J. Mann, SSGT U.S. Army Anchorage Daily News December 23, 1989 Anchorage homemaker Molene Mann, 72, died Dec. 21 at Providence Hospital. A visitation was held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, Eighth Avenue and E Street. A funeral followed at the chapel with the Rev. Walter Davidson of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Mann was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Atoka, Okla. She moved to Alaska about two years ago. Her family said she had a talent for writing poetry and songs, including the lyrics to the song "To Elvis, With Love." She contributed to Jewish outreach organizations and the 700 Club. Mrs. Mann is survived by her husband, Jeff, of Anchorage; her sons, Harvey and Philip, both of Anchorage; her sisters, Pauline Forbes, of Garden Grove, Calif., and Thelma Stephens, of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Rocquel and Shae , both of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and two stepgrandchildren, Alfonso and Anita, both of Anchorage. Burial was in the Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Contributions may be sent to the Hospice of Anchorage, 3605 Arctic Blvd., No. 555, Anchorage 99503.
