The Bellingham Herald (WA) 25 Jun 1995, Sun John Massett, 80, of Bellingham passed away Friday, June 23, 1995 in Bellingham. He was born on July 12, 1914 in Winona, ND to John and Aurora (Bachmaier) Massett. he married Cecilia Schmaltz on Jan 19, 1937. They resided in Spokane since 1946 and he moved to Bellingham after his wife of 57 years passed away on Nov 6, 1994. Survivors include sons, Joseph and wife Dorothy Massett, Ferndale; Robert Massett, Santa Barbara, CA; Donald and wife Sandra Massett, Bellingham; brother, Charles Massett, Toppenish; sisters, Annie Iback, Yakima; Mary Trebilcock and Katie Haeger both of Spokane; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation hours will be Monday 3-7 pm. Vigil Service will be Monday, June 26, 7 pm at Moles Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered by Fr. Patrick McDermott at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ferndale, at 11 am, Tuesday, June 27. Burial will follow at Enterprise Cemetery. Arrangements by Moles Funeral Home, Ferndale.
