Roy Henry Schellenberg December 16, 1925 - October 9, 2013, 87, known as “Henry” to his brothers and close friends, passed away October 9, 2013. Roy was an SMU graduate and served in the Burma Theatre in WWII. He was a local businessman and he and his beloved wife Juanita gave birth to Schelly’s Hamburgers in 1970 located in East Dallas. Roy is also a retired IRS agent. Roy, married, Juanita Tamez Zapata, March 2, 1950 and they built a life, business, and developed real estate all while raising a family. His love for entertaining with magic, song and dance is well known within family, extended family, friends, and neighbors. He is preceded in death by: his beloved wife Juanita, his brothers, Andrew, Albert and Woodrow, in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and his parents. Roy is survived by his son John M. Schellenberg, his daughter and son-in-law Gina and Armando Orta, his two grandchildren Jonathon Orta and Brianna Orta, his beloved brother Robert Schellenberg, sister-in-laws, a host of nephews and nieces, and many close friends. Roy’s true aspiration was to sing and dance his way to Hollywood and because of this life-time ambition the love of music and dance were engendered in his children and all those who broke bread with him. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Roy’s friends, David and Fay Moody, Marilyn Green, Jim Stafford, Joe Grandee, and his caregivers Michello Chola and Priscilla Mulunda.
