Bio

June Sheridan Ott, the daughter of Daniel and Sabina (Ireland) Sutton, was born at Bake, Oregon, on June 11, 1927, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 25, 1998, at the age of 71 years, 6 months, and 14 days. She grew up and graduated from Baker High School, and later attended Commercial Art Business College in Portland, Oregon, and Business College in Walla Walla, Washington. On May 8, 1951, she was united in marriage to Orville Ott in Reno, Nevada. She was a retired Musicians Agent, and currently was a dispatcher for Ott's Pilot Car Service. She held memberships in Drama, Historical, and Arts Groups, and belonged to the International Society of Poets. She won civic awards in Poetry, Editor's Choice Award in 1997, for two poems, Best of 1997 Selection for three poems, and Best in 1998 NLP publication for the poem "The Two Men Wept", which is based on an actual historical event that impressed her as a moment frozen in time. She was a member of the Aurora First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Daniel, and three sisters, Jeanne, Kathleen and Velva. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Orville of Aurora; four sons, Michael of Salem, Oregon, Daniel of Lexington, Oklahoma, Jon of Cookville, Tennessee, and Randy. One daughter Crystal Ehrhart of Scottsbluff; two brothers, Ted Sutton of Florida and David Sutton of Montana; two sisters, Desie Weyer of Port Orchard, Washington, and Dorothy Postalwaite of Stayton, Oregon; several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. from the "My Heritage" web site Contributor: Doug Hooper (47401292)
