Bio

Uncle Jimmy enlisted in the army on 20 March 1943 at Fort McPherson in Atlanta, Georgia, and was stationed in Colorado and Idaho, where he worked as a airframe and engine (A&E) mechanic during World War II. His wife accompanied him at his duty stations. He was discharged due to disability at Gowen Field, Idaho, on 16 November 1945 after serving 2 years, 7 months and 27 days. He was a sergeant, serial number 34 764 699, in the 425th Army Air Force Base Unit (4AF). His physical description was brown hair, blue eyes, 5 feet 5-1/4 inches tall, 120 pounds. After the military he served as Vice President of Jake's Potato Chips. His hobbies included photography. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church.
