William "Bill" Edgar Drake 81 of Quinlan, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday October 2, 2013 at his residence. A Funeral service celebrating Bill's life will be held 10 A.M. Friday, October 4, 2013 at Ingram Funeral Home with Chaplain Nick Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Able Springs Cemetery, Kaufman County, TX. Bill was born April 18, 1932 in Seagoville, TX, where he was raised and educated. He is the son of the late Lexis Brandon Drake and Minnie Lee Frohawk Drake. He honorably served our country as a Navy Veteran in the Korean War. Bill married Claudie Sue Glenn in 1957; she preceded him in death in 1974. Bill worked for LTV in Grand Prairie for 20 years before he became the owner of Drake's Automotive in Greenville, TX. He was a member of the American Legion Post #517 in West Tawakoni. His hobbies included building and racing stock cars and fishing. He is loved and will be missed by his grandson Bradley Childress of Quinlan; niece Rebecca Davis of St. Petersburg, FL; Gary & Julia Ovis of Quinlan and many friends.
