Son of Charles & Blanche (Barnett) Ditman. Married to Irene Weible on 3-26-1935 at Lincoln, NE. Graduated from Stanton High School in 1927 with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1932 from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Following his graduation, he was employed by his uncle at his Veterinarian Office in Stanton until 1933, when he set up his own practice in Winside
